What’s happening on Friday, March 1?

  • Registration will open at 8 am at the contemporary arts center (900 Camp Street with the entrance to the venue on St. Joseph St., between Camp and Magazine) , with coffee and tea provided. Talks kick off at 9 am sharp. There will be a refreshment break from 10 to 10:30 am, and a box lunch will be provided at noon.

  • Talks will resume after lunch and continue until the trade show and happy hour, sponsored by FlipFarm Systems, from 3 to 5 pm.

  • In the evening, enjoy the New Orleans cuisine and nightlife!

Saturday, March 2

What’s happening on Saturday, March 2?

  • Registration will open at 8:30 am at the contemporary arts center (900 Camp Street with the entrance to the venue on St. Joseph St., between Camp and Magazine) with coffee and tea provided. Talks kick off at 9 am sharp. There will be a refreshment break from 10 to 10:30 am.

  • Lunch will be on your own with a break in the talks from noon to 1:30 pm. Be back in time for the Three Minute Tech Talk session, an annual favorite!

    • Here’s a map to lunch spots within 8 minutes walk or less of the Contemporary Arts Center.

  • Talks will resume after lunch and continue until the trade show and happy hour, sponsored by Blue Oyster Environmental and Hoopers Island Oyster Company, from 3 to 5 pm.

  • Freshen up and come out to the closing party, the Shuck and Tell, at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum from 7 to 9 pm. Parking is limited and locals have suggested that it’s safer to use a ride share to get to the site than walking. We will have over a dozen southern oyster farmers sharing the fruits of their labor, appetizers and drinks!

FAQ

Do I need to print out my tickets? No, you can check in on-site.

Are guests allowed at the Symposium or the organized social events? No, we are at capacity and this ensures the best experience for our attendees.

Will there be shuttles provided from the hotel to the Symposium and/or Shuck & Tell? Unfortunately, we could not find affordable, convenient options for this. We encourage attendees to car pool and use ride shares.
